Fee burn and net supply are different measures
Observed: On Oct 10, 2026, execution base fees contributed 15.59 ETH and blob fees contributed 0.0156 ETH to the total. The seven days ending Oct 10, 2026 burned 645.80 ETH, 29.8% less than the preceding seven days.
Context: EIP-1559 burns the execution base fee; EIP-4844 also burns blob fees. Priority fees go to block producers and are excluded. To evaluate net supply change, compare burn with separately measured issuance over the same interval. For transaction costs in dollars, use the related Ethereum gas-fees page.
